Andrew Philadelphia to Washington D.C.

I have to say I am very impressed with greyhound. One their prices are awesome with or without the specials, two the buses are clean and comfortable and three the drivers are very courteous and professional. I did a lunch trip to Washington d.c. and I was lucky enough to have cedric as my driver going down and coming back from d.c. Very nice, very calm and cool under pressure. Coming back to Philadelphia major traffic headaches but cedric was cool as ice. Congrats I will continue to ride greyhound and recommend them to my friends and family.

Samantha Chicago, IL to Pittsburgh, PA

Hello, I ride Greyhound to Pittsburgh often, I went to college out there and have made many friends and many trips back to see them. I am about to go up in May of this year for one of my best friend's wedding, she has asked me to be the maid of honor. Pittsburgh is also where my family and I are from and where the rest of my extended family lives so I get to see them whenever I go to visit. I am once again using Greyhound to get me there safely like I always am and am very happy it is so affordable.

Laura Fredericksburg, VA to South Bend, IN

My mother has been an educator in the public schools for over 30 years. This June she will retire. Among those of us celebrating with her are her granddaughter and grandson, both of whom are "graduating" the eighth grade at the same time! We tease her that it took her much longer to get out of eighth grade than either of her grandkids, but as long as our family can be together to celebrate (and thanks to Greyhound, we can be) she doesn't mind!

I drive all the time and using Greyhound for my weekend trips leaves the driving to someone else. The seats are comfortable, the drivers are very nice and I trust them entirely. So I leave the driving to Greyhound. Plus the free wifi and the new spacious seats are a great incentive!

Casey Cincinatti, Oh to Toledo, Oh

Over the last few years I have been in school out of town (Studying Fashion Marketing) away from family and friends. My daughter is a main reason for my travels. She is 8 years old now and being apart of her life in a physical way has been a struggle. I am motivated to do my best because of her love and belief in me. During my Greyhound experiences as a passenger I have met some of the most determined, brave and funny individuals. I am comforted by my faith in the driver and the easy going laid back atmosphere on the Greyhound buss. Every road trip gives me a story of how people are naturally investigative and want to see the world they live in. They are not bound by city limits and are limitless on reasons why they rely on Greyhound. I can only testify about my experience, and although their are a few bumps along the way, the road ahead is better knowing Greyhound is on the move with me.

violet Fort lauderdale florida to jackson mississippi

I am from Freeport, Bahamas and at least 2-4 times per year I ride the Greyhound bus to visit my children who are in school at the University of Jackson State. You see I have twin girls and wanted the best affordable school for them that is why they are so far away. But at least every 3 to 4 months I need to see them. So I can only travel the most affordable way. I fly in from the Bahamas to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida get a cab to the Greyhound station and there my 25 hour journey begins and I love it. I spend my time first of all trying to map out the direction of the bus in my head, I always pray to get the seat right up front so I could see all the road signs and be the first in the rest stops (because I have a weak bladder). I make it a point to meet the bus driver and the person in the seat next to me. We talk about family and traditions and exchange customs. We talk about our relationships, the joys and pains of child rearing. We talk about our spouses and the secrets to happier marriages. Then we talk about our faith. At times we watch the scenery its always so beautiful especially the ride thru the mountains in Alabama. Its heavenly. For my ride I also pack books that I put off reading all year this is now my time to catch up on my reading which I do. Even when I'm offered a ride on the plane I turn it down for there is nothing like a ride on the Greyhound bus. When i return home to my country I have so much to share with my friends and family members. Greyhound is the way to go.

Octa Louisville, KY to Fort Pierce, FL

The timing of the offer for the opportunity to visit my sister at Hobe Sound was just too perfect to pass up. I had recently retired and was looking forward to some time of my own to travel. Having two children in college and a part-time employed husband ensured that I would be traveling alone. Perfect. Time to catch up on my crochet and reading. While considering my travel options, the first truth I acknowledged was that I hate to fly. I know that statistically flying is safer than driving, but I would not be able to commandeer an airplane should the pilot become unable to complete the trip. Loose screws on airplanes happen and entail enormous risks. The environmental impact of flying is high. I decided to seek other options. My next consideration was driving my own car. That option would take at least 18 hours, not including an overnight stay for rest. I considered the statistics that flying was safer than driving so I also ruled this option out. That left taking a train or a bus. When considering riding on a train I thought about being able to visit a dining car, then relax to a sleeper while completing my journey. Doesn't that conjure images of beauty and relaxation? Upon finding the nearest station is a 2 hour drive by car, then the train would over night in Baltimore, MD where I would have to de-board and arrange for accommodations before resuming my journey, I finally considered the bus. Had this been my first choice, I could have saved myself some time and frustration! The ticket purchase was relatively easy on-line. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The bus drivers were professional and courteous. The other passengers confirmed my belief that most people are kind and good. The travel option I purchased involved boarding the bus in the afternoon, a couple of transfers, several stops, riding overnight, and arriving at my destination within 30 minutes of my expected arrival. I would give the experience an A for logistics. Even though my entire family and most of my friends thought I was crazy to consider taking the bus, I am thrilled that I had to opportunity. Their question, "why the bus?" has been answered. Now I can enthusiastically reply, "Why not?"

Myrel Washington D.C. to Atlanta

The ride from Atlanta is awesome. I really enjoy the Hard Rock Cafe. In Washington D.C. I like the Smithsonian Institute. But for the most part I find the Georgia Aquarium to be awesome!!!
